Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Gaydon hunter is getting ready to pounce on its supercar prey!. Aston Martin has released details on the powertrain that will be placed midship the Valkyrie’s chassis. This new engine is a hybrid but not quite the Prius type, with a fire breathing 6.5l Naturally aspirated V12 coupled to an electric motor. The V12 is a high-revving masterpiece with a limit of 11,100rpm produces 1000bhp and 740nm with an addition 160bhp and 280nm provides by the electric motor. just in case you weren’t sure on the maths that’s 1160bhp and 900nm in total.

Aston sourced the lightweight hybrid battery system from Rimac while the bespoke electric motor comes from Integral Powertrain Ltd. A lot of the development experience is coming from Red Bull Advanced Technologies (Formula 1) and famous tuners Cosworth.

Aston Martin has been so focused on reducing weight and drag that even the littlest details have been tended to, take the Aston badge that is placed on the car it is created from chemical etched aluminum that is only 70 microns thick, 30 percent thinner than a human hair. They believe that a sticker doesn’t do the technologically advanced Valkyrie justice and found that the standard enamel badge was too heavy.

other important stats are yet to be released but based on power outputs and looks I expect a 0-100 figure of sub-3-seconds and a top speed well over 300kph. Aston, We wait in anticipation.
